It showcases the rise of a villager who came to Bombay in 1958 and rose to become the most prominent industry tycoon in the country. It’s not a biography but takes a lot of inspiration from his life. The movie is loosely based on the life of Dhiru Bhai Ambani - the founder of Reliance. Guru showcases that Abhishek Bacchan is not as inept an actor as everyone thinks him to be.
